Delhi: TVS Motor Co Ltd will launch a new entry
level 100 cc motorcycle in October and expects to sell
40,000 units of the bike every month from April, its
chairman said on Thursday.
"We are aiming at an over 30 per cent share of
the entry-level motorcycle segment with the TVS Star,"
Venu Srinivasan told reporters
at an industry seminar. He said TVS expected to sell
more than 800,000 motorcycles in the year to March 2005
and total vehicle sales were likely to be 1.4 million
units.
