TCS inks a five year contract with Ericsson in Sweden

New Delhi: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), has announced having signed a 5-year global contract with global telecommunications company Ericsson to deliver application maintenance and development services for Ericsson's internal IT operations.

TCS has been selected as one of the two strategic partners that will its services to Ericsson.

Amit Bajaj, director, Nordic region, TCS, said that Nordic companies are increasingly looking at service providers like TCS to deliver  IT services and business solutions.

The Tata Group company will offer the IT-enabled services through its global network delivery model (GNDMTM), a single global service standard, which is recognised as the benchmark of excellence in software development.

Nils Molin, managing director Sweden at the analyst firm IDC added, ''TCS has been investing heavily in localising its Nordic operations, expanding its services portfolio and aggressively adding new clients. We expect Nordic companies to continue to add deliveries from off- and nearshore centers to their sourcing strategies for IT Services.''
