Mumbai: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been recommended for re-certification to the latest International Quality Standard ISO 9001:2000.

The recommendation is based on the ISO re-certification audit conducted on TCS centres in India by RWTUV, a leading certification agency operating in Europe, Asia, South and North America. The ISO certificate would be granted to TCS by TUV-Cert, after its approval of the TCS audit report prepared by RWTUV.

It is a significant achievement for TCS to be considered eligible for this prestigious certification; only a few IT companies of this size in the world have even attempted to go for the ISO 9001:2000 certification as one single unit in Asia.

The auditors attribute TCS's eligibility for this certification to its time-tested processes, and its ability to communicate total quality requirements clearly throughout the organisation, which enables everyone to work as a well-knit cohesive team.
