Kolkata: There will be no delay in handing over the land acquired by the West Bengal government for the proposed car manufacturing plant of Tata Motors at Singur, chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee said on Thursday.

"There is no time overrun," Bhattacharjee said, reacting to reports that the Tatas would look for other options if the land was not handed over by year end.

Land and land reforms minister Abdur Rezzak Mollah told reporters that the land would be given to Tata Motors shortly after Durga Puja.
