Tata Motors launches updated Aria at Rs9.95 lakh

Tata Motors on Thursday launched the all-new Aria, which it said, offers better performance and comfort, increased space and loads of new equipment, including state-of-the-art high-speed stability and safety features and a powerful new engine.

The new Aria also features an in-dash satellite navigation to provide destination guidance.

The updated version of the crossover Aria, with price starting at Rs9.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), also comes with an engine warranty of 3 years or 150,000 km, whichever is earlier.

The new Aria boasts of a new 2.2 litre VARICOR engine, with a powerful output of 150PS and a high low-end torque of 320Nm for better pick-up and quick response, returning a fuel efficiency of 15.05km/litre (ARAI certified).

The new engine with VGT (Variable-Geometry Turbocharger) is electronically controlled with a lower-end flat torque, which kicks in from as low as 1500 rpm, for a more precise response from the engine, improving in-city driving capabilities.

The new Aria features an exclusively tailored JBL Harman premium sound system, which is acoustically tuned for optimum performance and delivers an outstanding musical treat for occupants of each seat.

The vehicle comes with various features including JBL Harman premium sound system and dual air conditioner with automatic climate control.

The new stylised decals clear lens tail lamps and black bezel double barrel headlamps, now further accentuate the exterior design of the Aria.

Other features include:

  • Premium leather upholstery and three-row theatre-style flexible seating;
  • Six airbags to protect occupants from every side;
  • Darkness-sensing 'follow me home' headlamps' and rain-sensing wipers;
  • Steering mounted music and cruise control with BLUE5 connect;
  • Dual AC with automatic climate control;
  • ABS, EBD, ESP and Traction Control System, for superior stability and vehicle control;
  • Electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMs; and
  • Keyless entry with remote integrated key.

The new Area has also reduces cost of maintenance with new timing belt with improved durability and new replaceable cartridge-type pre-filter, for improved filtering, enhancing robustness of fuel injection system.

The updated Aria will be available in three variants, with the base model priced at Rs9.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
