Sonata Software to serve Church's Chicken

Chennai: The Bangalore-based Sonata Software Limited has signed a $5-million deal with the Atlanta''s Church's Chicken to manage the its infrastructure, network, data centre, help desk and application management.
Church's Chicken is the fourth-largest chicken franchisee in the US. The company serves customers through its over 1,500 locations in 16 countries with 283 company owned restaurants, 955 domestic franchisees and 292 international franchisee restaurants.
Church's Chicken plans to increase the number of restaurants to 2,500 in another four years time. The company is owned by Arcapita, a venture-capital firm that is also the parent of Caribou Coffee.
Meanwhile Sonata Software has been allotted eight acres of land near Hyderabad for setting up an information technology campus. Presently Sonata Software operates a 800 people facility in Hyderabad.
