ŠkodaSuperb wins 'car of the year, best auto technology' awards

Mumbai: Škoda Superb, the flagship luxury model of Škoda Auto, has won the "Car of the Year" award at the 6th Overdrive auto magazine awards function held on January 8 at Taj Palace, New Delhi. ŠkodaSuperb was chosen for this coveted award for offering a perfect blend of luxury, performance, technology and comfort. The other nominations for this award were Ford Fusion, Hyundai Elantra and Hyundai Getz.
Škoda Auto also bagged the award for ''best auto technology'' for its 5-valves per cylinder Turbo Charged Petrol Engine. Skoda Auto has been the first to launch the petrol engine, which is turbo charged delivering phenomenal performance with excellent fuel efficiency.
Speaking on this accomplishment, Imran Hassen, managing director, ŠkodaAuto India, said, "We have to impress the customers as well as the jury to get an award and for that you need to offer the best products. Škoda Superb is the ultimate symbol of luxury and technology. Škoda Auto is obsessed with quality and we endeavour to carry forward this tradition of excellence in India."A product of German Engineering, the Superb weighs 1,619k and is a front wheel-driven luxury car.
Skoda''s TV commercial, was ranked amongst top three in the ''advertising campaign'' category.
