Mumbai: Symphony Services, the global business services outsourcing partner, today announced the successful completion of one year of offshore outsourcing services to support software quality assurance and product development for Siebel Systems Inc (NASDAQ: SEBL), a leading provider of multi-channel business applications software.

Symphony Services operates a dedicated global test and development centre in Bangalore, India that is an extension of Siebel''s US based team. The work done at this centre has enabled Siebel to dramatically reduce their development costs, improve quality, and accelerate the output of new product features and functions to market.

Siebel made a strategic decision in early 2003 to take advantage of overseas resources, and entered into a partnership with Symphony Services to build an offshore global test and development centre in Bangalore, India.

Herb Hunt, senior vice president, Siebel Global Services and executive sponsor for Siebel's offshore program said, "In just one year, this team is assisting us in meeting our quality and product development commitments. Symphony has helped us maintain the highest customer satisfaction levels possible, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with them."

Through its Commercial Software Group (CSG), Symphony Services helps clients to increase productivity, reduce costs, optimise product development, and improve time-to-market by leveraging highly skilled offshore resources along with its world-class commercial software development framework.
