Satyam''s tool to enhance revenue for media houses

Chennai: The Hyderabad-based software major Satyam Computer Services Limited has launched a framework to increase the revenue stream for publishers.

Called as Integrated Digital Media Framework (IDMF) is a combination of different solutions. The software company developed the basic engine on which other solutions ride on.

In simple terms, IDMF facilitates repurposing of content by converting it to formats compatible to different digital delivery methods.

For example text content could be converted for sending SMS to a cell phone or to a other handheld devices.

Using IDMF a television show could be converted into text using voice conversion software and used for a print publication, said Abhijit Dasgupta, vice president, media and entertainment.

The company will initially target the print publication companies and later expand their market, said Kevin R English, global head-Media & Entertainment.

Satyam''s media and entertainment is one of the fastest growing vertical and has around 800 employees.
