Satyam appoints Timothy Montgomery as senior VP, global insurance practice

Mumbai: Timothy Montgomery has joined Satyam Computer Services as senior vice president, global insurance practice. He was earlier managing director, Directlink Technologies and has previous experience as vice president, IT, CIGNA Healthcare, IT director of Stanley Fastening Systems and senior leadership positions at GE Power Systems and GE Industrial Systems.
Montgomery has over 20 years of IT experience in IT outsourcing – both onshore and offshore – and was responsible for establishing significant offshore contracts with Tier I and Tier II outsourcing companies and has developed and managed successful best-practice offshore outsourcing programs for Fortune 500 companies.
A BS in IT from Union College in Schenectady, New York, and an ''executive'' MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, Montgomery is a Six Sigma black belt and has conducted training on Six Sigma, change management and IT outsourcing.
