Sony’s PlayStation Go debuts in India

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has launched PSP Go, the latest edition of its Portable PlayStation series in India at a price of Rs12,990.

PSP Go comes with 16GB of built-in memory, built-in microphone that lets you chat to friends using Skype, wireless connectivity with PSP, PS3, internet access, new sliding screen and a trimmed-down, pocket-sized chassis.

Besides, Sony is also giving away 10 free games with the device, which includes games like Fifa World Cup, Need For Speed: Shift, Avatar, Little Big Planet among others.

The manufacturer, which had launched its PlayStation store in India in October 2010, offers PSP and PSP Go users access to free online gaming and game downloads at Rs170 for 5 console users through the store.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, based in London, is responsible for the distribution, marketing and sales of PlayStation3, PlayStation2, PSP(PlayStation Portable) and PlayStation Network software and hardware in 99 territories across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Oceania.
