Jio hits again: 100% cash back on exchange of old cards, routers

Reliance Jio Infocom has announced yet another disruptive offer, this time for its JioFi services. Jio is offering customers 100 per cent cash back on JioFi 4G routers and 4G data worth Rs2,010 in exchange for their existing data cards, dongles or Wi-Fi hotspot routers.

Users can avail of the offer at any Reliance Jio Digital store or Jio Care centre. However, the services can be activated only with an additional mandatory recharge of Rs408 inclusive of Rs99 Jio Prime subscription.

In addition, Reliance Jio has another plan, which effectively costs Rs994 to customers. Under this plan, users get JioFi services at Rs1,999 and 4G data worth Rs1,005, at a mandatory recharge of Rs408. Users looking to subscribe for this plan are not required to exchange their existing cards.

The Economic Times quotes experts to say that by offering dongles, data cards, and Wi-Fi routers, Reliance Jio aims at capturing market from rivals as the exchange scheme will encourage existing dongle users to shift to Jio's services.

Reliance Jio currently offers four JioFi devices, namely JioFi 1 Router, JioFi 2 Router, JioFi 3 Router, and JioFi 4 Dongle.
