Reliance Mobile introduces HTC P3000 and S720 hand sets

HTC today unveiled two new handsets, the P3000 and S720 to provide CDMA users in India with more options for PDA mobile phones.

HTC P3000HTC P3000: This phone is sleek, stylish and a powerful Windows Mobile handset with state-of-the-art functionality in a slim 18-mm body. Using Reliance's CDMA 1x technology, the P3000 enables the user to browse the internet at a speed of up to 144 kbps. The PDA posesses the Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional series software that has all the business applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, PDF reader and is also equipped with a 2MP camera with a preview mirror to ensure good image quality. The phone weighs only 130 grams.

The P3000 is powered by 64MB RAM, 128 MB ROM and also features a SDIO / MMC card slot for extensible storage. It has a radiant 2.8'' TFT touch screen and supports Bluetooth wireless technology v2.0.

''Reliance recognizes the need to enhance the mobile experience with email and internet functionality on the move for the emerging business and youth segments,'' said Nilanjan Mukherjee, chief marketing officer, Reliance Communications. ''With HTC's smart phones, Reliance will enhance its range of top of the line PDAs to meet their needs''

The P3000 will be available at all  Reliance World and Reliance Communications Showrooms and all leading HTC authorized resellers across the country and will be priced at Rs16,500.

HTC S72HTC S720: The HTC S720 is a dual keypad phone that has a slide out QWERTY keyboard apart from the standard numeric keypad.

Similar to the P3000, the S720 also uses the Windows Mobile 6.0 platform and allows the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF viewer, etc. It is also equipped with a 2.0 MP digital camera with video recording capabilities. The phone weighs only 133 grams.

About the S720 he added, ''The new HTC S720 continues HTC's commitment for innovation and device design. We are confident that it will be the desired choice for customers looking for stylish looks and diverse functionality.''

The S720 is expected to be priced at Rs19,500.
