Reliance selects Foster Wheeler for its paraxylene project In Jamnagar

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has selected oil and gas design engineering specialist Foster Wheeler as an engineering and procurement services contractor for its paraxylene project.

This is part of the expansion project being executed at RIL's world-scale Jamnagar refining and petrochemical complex in Gujarat.

A release by Foster Wheeler AG said the RIL contract was awarded to subsidiaries of its Global Engineering and Construction Group.

Foster Wheeler's scope of work will include detailed engineering, licensor coordination and procurement services for the new paraxylene plant. The project will be executed from Foster Wheeler's Indian and UK operations, the company said.

Foster Wheeler AG is a global engineering and construction company and power equipment supplier.

The company employs approximately 12,000 professionals with specialised expertise through one of its two primary business groups.

The company's Global Engineering and Construction Group designs and constructs processing facilities for the upstream oil and gas, LNG and gas-to-liquids, refining, chemicals and petrochemicals, power, mining and metals, environmental, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and healthcare industries.
