With the Indian government finally loosening curbs on the sale of the anti-H1N1 (swine flu) drug Tamiflu, Natco Pharma said on Friday that it has launched its generic version Natflu.

The maximum retail price for the medicine is fixed at Rs480 for a bottle of 10 capsules and is available in all licensed pharmacies, it further said.

The price may seem high to the average Indian; but with the virus assuming pandemic proportions and the availability at government-controlled pharmacies being very limited, there is bound to be good demand for Natflu.
