MTNL ties up with IOL Netcom to offer CDMA mobile services

Mumbai: Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) will introduce CDMA-based mobile services in  Mumbai and Delhi under a CDMA franchisee agreement with  IOL Netcom Ltd.

IOL Netcom will be the lead partner in the consortium that will provide CDMA mobile services in the two metros in the next 90 days.

IOL Netcom plans to introduce a host of value added services enhancing the multiplay user experience.

The CDMA mobile services will now allow IOL Netcom to offer multiplay services comprising mobile, data card, desktop CDMA phone, FCC, IPTV, broadband and VoIP.

The partners expect a combined average revenue per user of over Rs450 per month with a targeted base of over one million in the next few months.
