Kale forms the ''Travel Technology Division''; re-brands Cognosys

Mumbai: Kale Consultants (Kale) today announced the completion of the acquisition of Cognosys Software Pvt Ltd (Cognosys). Re-branding Cognosys as Kale Travel Technology Division, it will provide focused technology-enabled business solutions to the travel industry by leveraging domain and technology skills.
In a strategic move to capitalise on the IT needs of the travel space, Kale had acquired Cognosys, a leading software solutions provider to the travel industry, in October 2003.
Speaking on the occasion, Vipul Jain, group CEO and managing director, Kale Consultants, said, "We have now successfully completed the acquisition and created the Travel Technology Division. This division will provide a suite of e-travel products and customised software solutions to our customers, creating a synergy with our airlines business."
Jain further added, "Rajnish Kapur, the CEO of Cognosys, will now head this division. With his vast experience in the travel industry, I am confident that he will provide the necessary management guidance and direction required for Kale to achieve a leadership status in this space too."
Kale Travel Technology Division will offer cutting edge technology products such as — EBizTravel, an end-to-end e-procurement solution for business travel, EBookEngine, an Internet booking engine, eFlightInfo, which provides automatic real-time dissemination of operational flight information and eFareEngine, which manages fare data.
Currently, it will cater to leading travel organisations in Europe, USA and India, such as TQ3, Lastminute.com, Cox & Kings, Tcube and Secure-res.
