jadooWorks to make animation series for American TV channel

Chennai: Animation company jadooWorks has decided to partner with Wild Brain, a San Francisco-based animation studio, to produce a 26 half-hour animated series for a US TV channel.

The animated series, targeted at pre-school audience, will be produced by jadooWorks while the pre- and post-production work will be done by Wild Brain. The total cost of the production is estimated at over $3 million, and the Indian company will assign around 155 people for the project.

jadooWorks has also contracted with a Los Angeles production company, Guardian Angel Animation (GaGa), to produce a direct-to-home (DTH) video for the pre-school market in excess of $1 million.
