Taj to set up hotel at technopark

Kochi: Taj Group of Hotels, the Indian major in the hospitality industry, is setting up a unique state-of-the-art facility on the Technopark campus.

Taj Group of Hotels would set up a hotel with 100 rooms and accompanying facilities near the Technopark club on the park campus. The hotel would begin its operations during the current year itself, according to a senior official.

Taj Group owns as many as 60 hotels across the world in different categories such as business, luxury and leisure hotels. The upcoming project of Taj at the park would be a novel combination of all the existing categories but in an economy range, sources said.

The Indian IT major Infosys Technologies has already begun its operations at Technopark with as many as 40 employees. Other companies on the major expansion phase are Allianz Cornhill Information Services, the Indian subsidiary of the UK-based insurance major Allianz, another UK-based company RMplc which focuses on the development of education software.
