Bangalore: ICICI Infotech has announced that Lakshmi Vilas Bank has chosen its core banking solution, Newton, to be deployed across all branches.

Newton will seamlessly integrate the bank’s existing front-end system, protecting its earlier investments in IT, according to the company.

“With the banking environment getting extremely competitive and several global players entering the Indian market, Lakshmi Vilas Bank plans to use technology to offer customers value-added services. As a result, we expect out customer base to greatly increase,” says Lakshmi Vilas Bank Chairman and CEO A Krishnamoorthy.

“After evaluating several top banking products, we found Newton to be an ideal fit for our stakeholder, both external and internal,” he adds.
