Chawla and Patel join Hyatt Regency Kolkata

Mumbai: Hyatt Regency Kolkata, the renowned international brand in the hospitality scenario, has announced the appointment of its key personnel in the executive committee. The team comprises a host of experienced professionals in the hospitality industry hailing from all over India and the region as well.
Executive committee: 
Praveen Chawla: He holds the prestigious general manager's portfolio in Hyatt Regency Kolkata. Having started his career with ITC, he went on to become the resident manager in Hyatt Regency Kathmandu and was part of its pre-opening team. He has also worked as executive assistant manager at Hyatt Regency Guam and held several key positions in the rooms division at Hyatt Regency Delhi. Having graduated from Delhi Institute of Hotel Management, Catering and Nutrition, he went on to receive specialised training in hotel management from Switzerland and the US. Chawla has been an integral part of the Hyatt chain for the last 24 years.
Sales and marketing: 
Monica Patel: A commerce graduate and a post-graduate diploma holder in business management, she is the director of marketing in Hyatt Regency Kolkata. She has 14 years' work experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to this, she worked with The Oberoi Grand as assistant manager and with Sterling Resorts as area sales manager. She has also worked with Taj Bengal Calcutta as sales manager.
