Five Union members of Hero MotoCorp who haver been on a hunger strike since 28 February ended the strike today.

The workers at the two-wheeler maker's Gurgaon plant had gone on strike on 13 February after wage settlement talks with the management failed.

The union is demanding a hike in monthly wages of up to Rs18,000 over a three-year period, which is nearly three times what the company is offering.

''If you look at what is happening around us, the hikes that are being given by other companies in the Gurgaon-Manesar industrial belt - it is a reasonable demand,'' Hero MotoCorp Workers Union (HMCWU) president Kanwalpreet Singh had said earlier.
