Mumbai:
Hero Honda has gained the distinction of being ranked
in the top three corporates of India by Review 200, an
annual survey instituted by the prestigious business magazine,
Far Eastern Economic Review. Hero Honda has been made
it to this coveted list for the fourth consecutive time
and is also the only Indian auto company ever to make
it to this prestigious list of rankings.
Hero
Honda was ranked third in the survey, behind Infosys and
Reliance who were ranked first and second respectively.
The Review 200 is one of the most prestigious corporate
surveys in Asia and is conducted by AC Nielsen Research
(Hong Kong). The survey ranks Asia''s best companies on
selected qualities of corporate leadership - high quality
of services and products, innovation in responding to
customer needs, long-term vision, and financial soundness.
The
heartening feature for Hero Honda has been that it has
improved its overall ranking over the years. While the
company was ranked fourth in 2001 it improved its standing
to the third place in 2002, a position which it has maintained
once again in the year 2003.
On
parameters such as ''innovation in responding to customer
needs'' the company now ranks second, moving up from its
fourth place in 2002. The company has also placed second
on another important parameter, that is, ''quality of products
and services''.
The
2003 Review 200 survey, now in its eleventh year, ranked
153 multinational corporations in Asia and between 29
and 40 local companies in 12 key markets around the region.
