HCL Perot to appoint 600 software professionals in 2003

New Delhi: HCL Perot, a software services company, will recruit up to 600 software professionals in calendar 2003 to serve the existing and new verticals like retail and the government.

“We will add 500-600 professionals in 2003 to extensively serve our clients in the healthcare, travel, telecom and financial verticals and also the new verticals like government and retail,” explains HCL Perot chief operating officer C P Gurnani. “In the last quarter, the company added 150 professionals.”

The company will tap campuses for hiring about 150 professionals and the remaining will be for lateral recruitment, he says, adding that the idea is to develop solutions for specific verticals. “For example, a doctor is important in developing healthcare solutions.”

In fact out of the 600, 200 people will be engaged in healthcare, 100 each will be for telecom, financial and travel verticals and the remaining for the new verticals, he adds.
