Hyundai introduces new Next Gen i10

New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India Ltd today said it had introduced Next Gen i10, an all-new version of its small car i10.

Sporting an innovative design look and an array of contemporary features, the Next Gen i10 comes in two petrol Variants – the 1.1 iRDE2 and 1.2 Kappa2 VTVT.

While the 1.1 litre iRDE2 engine delivers a maximum power of 69PS@5500 rpm and a maximum torque of 10.1 Kgm@4500 rpm, the1.2 litre Kappa2 VTVT engine delivers a maximum power of 80 PS@6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 11.4 Kgm@4000 rpm.

Both the engines are BS IV compliant and designed to deliver improved engine efficiency, optimised fuel consumption, low emission, Hyundai said in a statement.

With a more efficient engine, the new 1.1 iRDE2 Next Gen i10 has ARAI certified mileage of 19.81 km per litre of petrol while the 1.2 Kappa2 VTVT is said to deliver 20.36 km per litre, which Hyundai says makes i10 the most fuel efficient petrol car in compact segment and above.

The centerpiece  of the new Next Gen i10 is a new chrome radiator grill that features contemporary chrome detailing. It also boasts of a bracing set of 3D wraparound headlamps with multi-reflector chrome surround fog lamps. The bumpers have also been redesigned with a new front grille to lend a more aggressive look.

The Next Gen i10 features a micro roof antenna, body colour door handle and the side indicator lights incorporated on the outside rear view mirror. The rear of Next Gen i10 boasts of sleek and elongated tail lamps, bold rear bumper with body coloured inserts as well as rear bumper reflectors and trendy full wheel cover.

The new variants are priced between Rs 3.48 lakh and Rs 5.91 lakh.
