HCL Infosystems on Monday announced a partnership with Ernakulam District bank wherein HCL ME laptops will be provided at no-interest to account holders.

The scheme is being offered at 0-per cent interest with 100-per cent financing, no processing charge, and is available across all the branches of the Ernakulam District bank, an official communiqué said.

''The idea is to reach out to customers across India, who needs computing devices but face problems with the unavailability of financial assistance,'' said J V Ramamurthy, president and COO, HCL Infosystems.

The loan, spanning two years, will be processed within 24 hours, the company added.

HCL had earlier offered EMI schemes for as low as Rs499 on its HCL Ezeebee brand of PCs in 2004 to increase PC adoption across the country.
