Narmada Valley Fertilisers Company (GNFC) has become one of the
largest Internet providers in Gujarat by providing Internet
services through GNFC Online, a company press communiqu said.
The ISP structure is
established at Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Mehsana, Rajkot and
Bharuch. The services are targeted at customers who value quality
of services and reliability. The Internet gateway has been set up
in strategic alliance with NSI Communication, US, at Bharuch. It
has been successfully operational since February 2001, at the same
location where GNFC has set up a new hub station for the satellite
communication service.
The company strives to
deliver better services to its customers by the way of fastest
Internet bandwidth with value-added services like virtual private
networks, video streaming, web-casting and server co-locations.
GNFC Online provides a
suite of services, which include Internet on dial-up, ISDN,
wireless, terrestrial lease line and also on VSAT. Internet over
VSAT is the only solution for remote areas where there is no
access to terrestrial lines and beyond the reach of wireless
radios. Some international companies who operate in remote areas
are already accessing the Internet and running client servers
using the Internet services provided by GNFC.

successful implementation of GNFC Online, GNFC information
technology division additional general manager J J Vaidya said:

Internet speed, which is
affordable as well as convenient to them.

of GNFC Online includes universities, polytechnics and corporate
