In a development that will delight Orkut fans, Google has announced that it has come out with an Orkut widget for Android phones.

But that is not all, Google Buzz, too, has now gone Android-friendly with its own widget.

For those who may not be aware, Orkut is a popular social network that tops even Facebook in Brazil and India. Though Facebook has been able to dent Orkut's popularity to some extent in India of late, it is still behind Orkut in Brazil.

The Orkut app boasts of features such as Live Folders and photo upload options over the phone.

With the Live Folders option users can scroll through their buddy list even when they are "offline" and are not using data connection. With this, boot users can also receive scrap notification in real time. The Orkut widget is downloadable from the Android market.

The Google Buzz widget helps users to post Google Buzz updates. They can post text, photos and stuff directly from the phone and the posts can be tagged as well.
