Mumbai: Goodlass Nerolac Paints (GNP) Limited has been announced the proud winner of Greentech Safety Award for 2003-2004 in the paint sector. In recognition of the company's outstanding achievements in the field of safety, GNP's Jainpur (U.P.) unit has bagged the Gold Award and GNPs Lote (Maharashtra) unit won the Silver Award.
The chief guest of the function. Shripad Naik, ex. minister of state for civil aviation & surface transport and a sitting member of parliament from Goa congratulated all the recipients and said that it was indeed an honour for the state to host the conference. He added that the state should be an inspiration for other regions in terms of issues related to safety, health and environment.
Commenting on the achievement HM Bharuka, managing director, GNP, said, "It has been a constant endeavour for us to maintain the strictest quality, safety and environment standards. This award is much appreciated and will definitely be a motivator to do the best we can in the future".
Attended by officials from ministry of environment & forests, ministry of petroleum & natural gas, ceos, vps and senior officers from public and private sector companies, the award function was followed by two days conference & exhibition on safety, health & environment. The conference provided an opportunity to all delegates to share and exchange their views on best practices adopted in the field of safety health & environment.
