Godrej Consumer Products reports higher sales and profits in H1

Godrej Consumer Products Ltd has reported a 13 per cent rise in sales revenue (net of excise) from Rs239 crore in the corresponding period last year to Rs271 crore. Sales rose 14 per cent from Rs222 crore to Rs252 crore.

While profits before interest, depreciation and taxes (PBIDT) rose 19 per cent at Rs 45 crore compared with Rs38 crore, profit after taxes (PAT) increased by 26 per cent from Rs 28 crore to
Rs35 crore

The company's economic value-add (EVA) for the period increased by 40 per cent at Rs 31 crore, its earnings per share (EPS) rose from Rs4.83 to Rs6.13

During the quarter ended September 2004, sales revenue (net of excise) increased 10 per cent from Rs121 crore to Rs134 crore and sales rose 7 per cent from Rs115 crore in the corresponding period in the previous financial year, to Rs123 crore this quarter.
PBIDT rose 18 per cent at Rs23 crore compared with Rs19 crore and PAT by 26 per cent from Rs14 crore to Rs17 crore.

The company's EVA increased 36 per cent to Rs15 crore and EPS was up from Rs2.42 to Rs3.07 (both figures not annualized)
