Mumbai:
Godrej & Boyce Ltd has launched a new top loading
washing machine with a turbobrush technology. The GDA
902 Turbobrush, the company claims, helps to dislodges
the toughest dirt in clothes, provides unmatched cleaning
with minimum tangling of clothes, making them last longer.
In
the new Godrej 'Turbobrush' washing machine, the drum,
instead of being stationary moves in a direction opposite
to that of the pulsator, unlike conventional top load
washing machines where the wash drum is stationary and
only the pulsator moves water in one direction. The Turbobrush
technology gives an extra scrubbing action to the entire
wash load, dislodging dirt, while keeping clothes clean
and untangled.
The
machine has a 5.5kg capacity, a spin speed of 840 rotations
per minute and three wash programme cycles and is available
at an introductory price of a semi-automatic washing machine
Rs8,990.
"Research
has showed that Indian women were apprehensive of using
washing machines, as they had to brush the clothes before
putting them in the washing machines, says PD Lam, executive
director and president Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd.
"Keeping this in mind, the Godrej R&D team has
invented the Turbobrush
Technology. Godrej has always striven to understand the
needs of the Indian woman and design home appliances with
relevant technology."
