General Motors announced that it plans to refocus its dwindling resources on its core brands – Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC. GM will also build on the Pontiac to make it a niche brand. GM President Fritz Henderson said that Pontiac will become a "specialty niche" brand.
