With 46,750-odd units of the Fiego sold in the domestic market during the January-July 2010 period, Ford India is now looking at overseas markets to drive car sales.

The Figo sold over 30,000 units within 25 weeks of its launch in the first quarter of this year.

The Figo today is Ford India's best-selling car in the country, Joe Hinrichs, president, Asia Pacific and Africa, said.

The company is now looking at the markets in the Gulf region and northern African countries to push Figo sales further.

"We are pleased to announce that Ford India will export our locally-produced, hot-selling Ford Figo to 50 new markets, including Mexico, North Africa and the Middle East starting next year."
