Mumbai: Vijay Mallya's full-service airline Kingfisher Airlines Ltd may be negotiating purchase of helicopters from Mumbai-based helicopter services company, Global Vectra Helicorp Ltd.

The UB Group-promoted airline has already acquired two helicopters from Eurocopter, a division of European Aeronautic Defence and Space Co.

Global Vectra is a distribution agent for Eurocopter in India, apart from operating a little more than 20 helicopters in the offshore sector of India's oil and gas sector transporting men and material.
 
Reports said that SJS Saighal, chairman, Global Vectra, has confirmed that his company was in talks with the UB Group, but declined details.
