Mumbai:
D-Link India has shown excellent results for the quarter
ended 30 September 2003. Net sales for the quarter grew
by 26 per cent and stood at Rs 60.04 crore (Rs 47.77
crore) and profit before depreciation and tax for the
quarter stood at Rs 11.11 crore (Rs 6.72 crore).
After
providing Rs 8.82 lakh (Rs 9.09 lakh) towards interest
and Rs 96.52 lakh (Rs 89.54 lakh) for depreciation and
provision for current tax of Rs 85 lakh (Rs 44 lakh)
and deferred tax of Rs 20 lakh (Rs 1.50 lakh), the net
profit for the quarter stood at Rs 9 crore (Rs 5.28
crore), a steep rise of 71 per cent over the previous
quarter.
The
company''s net sales for the half year ended 30 September
2003 stood at Rs 101.29 crore (Rs 86.61 crore) and the
net profit for the period stood at Rs 15.82 crore (Rs
11.03 crore). The board of directors has recommended
an interim dividend of 60 per cent and the record date
for payment of dividend will be 7 November 2003.
