Computer Associates plans to go in for
technology tie-ups with major Indian infotech companies such as Wipro, HCL and Infosys.
The company is in talks with these companies.

managing director, India and SAARC, says that CA plans to bundle its Unicenter TNG
Framework with server brands from Wipro and HCL. Unicenter TNG Framework is an open,
cross-platform enterprise management infrastructure that helps clients and third-party
vendors create IT management applications that work smoothly together .
While the nature of its deal with Infosys is unknown the possibilities include software
services and Infosys using CA''s tolls in its consulting activities.
The company has already invested $15
million as part of its plans to invest $100 million in India over the next five years,
which it had announced about two years ago. The company has enrolled two small companies
in its incubator programme which aims to provide low-cost initial financing, computing
facilities, and help in marketing their products overseas.
CA recently announced a second development
centre in New Delhi, under its joint venture company Computer Associates TCG Software. It
already has a centre in Calcutta.
More initiatives and announcements
are
expected when CA''s chairman and chief executive officer, Charles Wang, visits the country
in mid-November, along with president and chief operating officer Sanjay Kumar.
