Blue Star ties up with Danfoss

Blue Star has tied up with the Denmark-headquartered $3-billion Danfoss, a pioneers in the area of energy conservation, to provide air conditioning solutions for the high value AC segment. Danfoss has operations in 20 countries.

The energy solutions market for high value air conditioning systems is estimated at Rs120 crores and is growing at 40 per cent per annum. According to Satish Jamdar, executive director, Blue Star Ltd, said, "Air conditioning comprises a major portion of the power bills of most organisations. At Blue Star, we remain committed to maximize energy savings for our customers."

According to Blue Star India''s energy requirement is estimated to grow from 5.6 per cent to 6.4 per cent per annum over the next few years putting a tremendous strain on the country''s energy resources and it is estimated that there is a potential of saving 25000 MW through energy saving measures by different sectors.
