Best Cargo Airline award for Blue Dart

Mumbai: Blue Dart Express Ltd, a premier integrated express courier and package distribution company operating in the Indian subcontinent has won the "Cargo operator of the year“ (Cargo Airline) award at the Express, Logistics & Supply Chain Conclave.
Blue Dart was adjudged winner in this category for its size of network, reliable service, range of products and value added services, introduction of new products and services and cost efficiency.
The IndiaTimes Mindscape and the Business India group have instituted these awards. AC Neilson was accredited with the research for the awards' nominees and the winners.
Blue Dart is firmly positioned as the market leader in the domestic air express segment with 41.7 per cent market share. It operates a fleet of jet aircraft - 2 B757s and 4 737s, which offer an unrivalled payload of 300 tonnes each night, across 62 route connections.
According to the awards citation, Blue Dart took a bold futuristic step in setting up India's first dedicated cargo aviation infrastructure, along with a ground handling and maintenance capability, way back in 1996.
Blue Dart was also a recipient of the CAPA "Cargo airline of the year Merit Award" in 2006.
