Airtel plan offers Amazon Prime membership free for one year

Airtel has made Amazon Prime and Netflix available completely free for one-year, with its plans for Rs 499 or above.

Airtel said in a statement, ''Airtel Postpaid customers with an Infinity plan of Rs499 or above will get a year's worth of Amazon Prime membership, which includes unlimited access to Amazon Prime Video, as part of their plan benefits.''

In addition to Amazon Prime Videos, the customers also have access to over 11 million Prime-eligible products, in early and exclusive deals, while shopping on Amazon.in. ''We are thrilled to come together with Airtel to make Amazon Prime benefits directly available to more customers,'' said Akshay Sahi, director and head of Amazon Prime India, The Financial Express reported. The offer is also open to  Airtel V-Fiber Broadband customers.

"By making Prime Video available to our customers for a year at no additional cost, Airtel TV is now able to offer one of the largest and most exciting entertainment experiences," said Sameer Batra, chief executive officer, Wynk, Bharti Airtel, The  Economic Times reported.

Akshay Sahi, director and head, Amazon Prime India, said, "This move enables seamless access to Amazon Prime for Airtel postpaid customers, providing a world of new video streaming content and more."
