BBC World announces new ad campaign in Botswana

BBC World News has announced that a new advertising campaign for the Botswana Tourism Board, which launches this month and will be broadcast to TV audiences around the world.

This is the first time the Botswana Tourism Board has advertised on BBC World News. The 30-second spot produced by Number One Films Ltd has been created to display the diversity of destinations, activities and culture on offer in Botswana. The advertising campaign features footage of an array of wildlife and scenery, and also highlights the energy of modern Botswana. The campaign will run on BBC World News for eight weeks, broadcast to a global audience across Europe, Africa and North America.

Sean O'Hara, regional director, Europe, Central Asia, Latin America and Africa,BBC World News, says, ''We are thrilled that the Botswana Tourism Board has chosen to advertise with us for the first time. An advertising campaign has been created that will present thebest of Botswanatotelevision audiences all around the world."

Myra Sekgororoane, chief executive officer, Botswana Tourism Board, says, ''With this new campaign, the Botswana Tourism Board aims to showcase the magic of our country to the discerning,international traveller. We chose to advertise onBBC World News due to the upscale, global audience it reaches,who we trust will enjoy visiting us.''
