Acer launches Aspire One Happy netbook at Rs17,999

Electronics company, Acer on Thursday added to its Aspire range of netbooks with the launch of Aspire One Happy netbook, priced at Rs17,999.

Available in unusual shades of candy pink, lavender purple, lime green and Hawaii blue, Acer's new netbook is ultra-thin at only 24mm - weighing 1.25 kg, and comes with a 10.1-inch WSVGA display with 16:9 aspect ratio.

It is powered by the Intel Atom N455 processor and comes with dual OS -- Windows 7 and Google's Android operating system. 

Acer's One Happy netbook also features the Intel graphics media accelerator 3150 for graphics, 1GB RAM, hard disk capacity up to 320 GB, multi-in-one card reader, USB ports, ethernet and Wi-Fi along with Bluetooth. 

The netbook gives 8-hour battery power, according to the company. It comes with a comfortable keyboard that has larger keys, wide multi-gesture touchpad, webcam and microphone among other features.

''With the Aspire One Happy, users can now expect the best performance that any netbook can offer without compromising on style,'' said Rajendran, chief marketing officer, Acer India.
