Toonz Animation India wins two Seagate Technical Awards

Toonz won the Best 2D animation Award for Stone Crusher, a film done for UNICEF about every childs right to education, and the Best Animated 3D/2D Logo or Channel 1D for the Week with the Masters logo animation.
The Seagate Awards were presented at the Broadcast India 2002 Exhibition, held at the World Trade Centre, Mumbai. The event had over 300 popular international brand names showcasing their latest products and technology, as well as discussions and interactions regarding the latest developments advancements in the fields of TV, radio, video, audio, film, music, lights, cable satellite, multimedia, transmission, computer graphics, broadband and the Internet.
Stone Crusher has previously won the First Prize at the world Animation Celebration in Los Angeles and the Gold Award at the Kalamazoo Animation Festival International in the public service announcement category.
Opened in the fall of 1999, Toonz Animation India occupies more than 18,000 square feet of space inside the Thiruvananthapuram Technopark. Toonz Animation is the most advanced studio to open in India since the country emerged as a potential player in the international animation industry.
With a staff of 500 Indian and international artists, Toonz has been voted as one of the top 10 animation companies to watch in the year 2002 by Animation Magazine.
