"We plan to launch around 1 lakh units per month of this USB (universal serial bus) drive which will enable us to capture an additional 4-5 per cent of the market share in the solid state media," said Deepak Shetty, senior vice president, domestic sales and marketing.

Moser Baer plans to begin with films like Khosla ka Ghosla, Dev D, Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, Padosan, Andaaz Apna Apna, Kaminey, Shaurya, Fashion, Iqbal and A Wednesday etc.

The 4GB USBs drives will offer the additional facility of erasing content in case the customer wants to use them as regular USBs, it added.

The company has priced a 4 GB drive at Rs850 as an introductory offer.

"This launch will be followed by more new exciting offers in higher-end 8 GB and 16 GB drives shortly," the company said in a statement.

The company had launched content-loaded micro-SD cards for mobile handsets, containing movies and songs in January this year.
