Chennai: AMP Sanmar Assurance Company Ltd, which began selling operations four months ago, expects to sell around 30,000 policies this year, the company's chief executive officer Sankara V Mony says. The company expects to earn a premium income of Rs 15 crore.

We aim to achieve top of the mind recall in one out of four people in three years time, says Mony, explaining the company's strategy. In achieving this, the company's brand ambassador and cricketing icon Steve Waugh will be of great help.

The company, on 25 July 2002, launched a group insurance policy through the hands of Steve Waugh. "We are looking at introducing a single premium product and an individual pension product shortly", Mony adds.
