Idea Cellular launches youth-centric tariff plan in Orissa

Idea Cellular today launched its new 'My Gang' plan for students in Orissa. The mobile service operator is looking to tap into the student community at the start of the new academic session.
As per the plan, local Idea-to-Idea calls will cost one paise per four seconds and one paise per two seconds for other local calls. Users will also get 100 local or national SMSes free everyday for a period of two months, after paying 60 paise for the first three SMSes each day.
Students will also get up to 104 MB of internet usage free everyday. The scheme can be availed by new prepaid subscribers by doing a recharge of Rs42.
"The Idea student pack will not only offer affordable call rates, but free SMS and GPRS as well; thus helping us break through this large segment of users in the region,"
Aloke Malik, chief operating officer, East, Idea cellular, said.
The pack is available at My Idea showrooms and Idea points in the Orissa circle.
Part of the Aditya Birla Group, Idea Cellular Ltd is a GSM mobile service operator with over 70 million subscribers nation-wide.
