Ricoh India Ltd is 73.6 per cent owned by Ricoh, Japan.

The Japanese parent has product lines in the areas of imaging solutions such as digital plain paper copiers, colour plain paper copiers, fax machines, thermal paper etc., and networking input / output systems like multifunction printers, services and software, scanners. The company has 317 subsidiaries globally, employing over 83,400 employees.

"After establishing itself as a market leader in the A3 multi-functional printer segment, now the company aims to help small workgroups in today's offices to become more productive", said Okochi.

In India, for every single A3 machine sold, over 10 A4 machines are sold. Ricoh India's product line will now address diverse customer needs, from versatile multifunction to single function printers, and from affordable colour printers to black and white ones.

Multitude Printing Options
The Indian market will soon have the company's GelSprinter series, which are capable of printing colour virtually at the cost of black and white, the company says. The GelSprinter combines the best of laser and inkjet printing technologies, giving crisp sun-resistant and water-proof prints like the former, and consuming very little power like the latter.

Guaranteed cost per page

No PC required
The Aficio SP 1000SF/ 1000S is a multifunction printer that allows users to bypass the PC, as it comes with a unique USB port that allows the user to directly print from and scan to a pen drive, without interfacing with a computer.

Ricoh's new A4 range comes network-ready, with robust security features, duplex printing, ergonomic design and appliance-like ease of operation. Ricoh India will be the only manufacturer for India.
