Hindustan Unilever's coffee brand Bru has roped in Bollywood actors Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra as brand ambassadors. The duo will appear in a television commercial for the brand.

Conceptualised by Ogilvy & Mather, the TVC will go on air from mid-February.

''A great cup of coffee is my constant companion whether it's at work or at play. That's what makes my association with Bru that much more special," said Chopra.

Bru's nemesis Nescafe has also being riding on the Bollywood bandwagon with actors Deepika Padukone and Purab Kohli for its 'Switch on the best in you campaign.' The latest in the series of commercials saw Bollywood director Karan Johar making an appearance.

Brooke Bond India had first introduced the branded roast and ground coffee segment with the Deluxe Green Label in 1962. Four years later, it introduced the instant coffee chicory mix, under the brand name Bru.
