Percept launches new arm, Activ for brand activation

Percept announced the launch of its new strategic business unit, Percept Activ to focus on the brand activation segment.

The new unit will handle below the line communications including promotional and event-based activation services. It will be headed by Sanjay Shukla as COO.

Shukla has experience in brand activation in India and abroad and has worked on brands like MasterCard, L'Oreal and Kingfisher amongst others.

Percept Activ will provide customised solutions to brands to help them connect with their target audience. It will work on building new events and properties and scaling up the existing properties for clients in the brand activation segment.

The arm has set up offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmadabad, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata.

Activ also plans to open four new offices and 30 franchisee operations across Tier II and III cities in the coming year. It also plans to scale up its team of about 100 team members and representatives on-board to 300 personnel by 2011.

The Percept Activ team will consist of Divya Kapoor as business head, North; Amit Bansal, AVP, business development and client servicing, North; Vijetha Suvarna, AVP, business development and client servicing, West; Hakim HS, GM, business development and client servicing, West; KG Ramnarayan, AVP, Bangalore; and Sameer Sethi, AVP,  Chennai and Hyderabad.
