GroupM’s Mindshare is best media agency of the year - Emvies 2009 winners

GroupM's media agency Mindshare has won the 'Best media agency of the year' award at Emvies 2009, the ninth All India media excellence awards held by Ad Club Bombay in Mumbai on 21 August.

The agency had a grand total of 100 points. It won 12 metals - two gold, four silver and six bronze.

Maxus, another GroupM media agency came second with 70 points. Madison Group bagged third place with a tally of 65 points. The Grand Emvie, equivalent to the best of show, went to Mudra Max, the media arm of Mudra Group. The RAM award for radio innovation went to Maxus. The People's Choice award for best case study presentation went to Lodestar Universal Pvt. Ltd and Mindshare.

Mudra Max bagged the Grand Emvie this year, for its entry 'TVS Scooty - Women on Wheels', in the Best Media Innovation - Events category.

As per this campaign, the agency set up The Scooty Institute across the country, training over 3.9 lakh women to ride the vehicle.

Lodestar Universal won the People's Choice Awards for the best case study on day one (August 14) of presentations for 'Tata Nano - Nano ya na maano!' in the Best Media Innovation -- Ambient Media/Out of Home category.
