Women to Watch 2008 Awards

US marketing and media journal Advertising Age and the Advertising Women of New York (AWNY) plan to honour 30 top women advertising and marketing professionals at the 12th Annual Women to Watch 2008 awards in New York on 13 August at New York.

For the past 12 years, Ad Age has published a special report on women in advertising, marketing and media whose accomplishments and potential have made them standout.

The honourees are recognised for having played significant roles in defining the future of their fields. Till date 282 women have won awards since the awards were instituted in 1997.

Among the 30 women to watch in 2008 are Lisa Caputo, chief marketing officer, Citi, Cheryl Catton, general director of advertising and sales promotion at General Motors Corp, Anja Carroll, media director, McDonald's USA, McDonald's Corporation, Bridgette Heller, global president, baby care, Johnson & Johnson, Melanie Healey, group president, feminine and health care, Procter & Gamble Co, Caroline Slootweg, director of digital marketing and new media, Unilever.
